Concrete Noun

1. Nouns that can be identified through 1 of 5 senses (sight, smell, taste, hearing, touch)

2. Tangible and physical

Abstract Noun

1. Are things like: 

Feeling - experienced consciously (anxiety, confusion, fear, pain, pleasure, satisfaction, sensitivity, stress, sympathy, warmth)

states or condition (being, chaos, freedom, liberty, luxury, misery, nervousness, openness, peace, pessimism, optimism)

Emotion - manifest either consciously or subconsciously (anger, despair, happiness, hate, indifference, joy, grief, love, sadness, sorrow)

Quality - degree of something (beauty, brilliance, courage, determination, dedication, generosity, honestly, patience, trust)

Event (wedding party, concert, birthday party, seminar)

2. Intangible and non-physical

Note: many abstract noun are formed by adjective, adverb and noun

example:

strong - strength

kind - kindness

dark - darkness

please - pleasure

friend - friendship
