Denote information below when you ordering portland cement
- Types of cement complete with number and date (example: IIIA, or IIA)
- If type of cement is not mentioned, type I shall be supplied
- Optional chemical or physical requirements
Ingredients of cement described in Table 1 - Standard composition requirements except as follow:
- clinker
- water or calcium sulfate
- limestone according to C 51 shall not more than 5% by mass of cement
- processing additions according to C 465
- air-trained additions according to C 226
Chemical composition described in Table 1 and Table 2 Optional composition requirements
Physical properties described in Table 3 Standard physical requirements and Table 4 Optional physical requirements
Inspection of the material refer to contract document of seller and purchaser
Rejection
- Purchaser my asked retest before using if the cement retain more than 6 months in bulk storage or more than 3 months in local storage custody by vendor after completion of test. If the result of test fails from specification, the cement must have rejected and it is vendor responsibility
- Packages (mass contained) as purchaser option to be measure in net weight. If the weight of packages less more than 2% of mass marked on the packages, the cement must have rejected. If the average mass of packages in every shipment (determine by randomly 50 packages) less than mass marked on the packages, the shipment must have rejected
- As purchaser request, the manufacturer shall written the nature, amount, identity, any air-entraining addition, any processing addition, and if possible with its test data required
- If limestone is used, manufacturer shall state in written amount and if it as purchaser requested. Test data of cement without and with limestone to be submitted as comparison not to superseded the data test without limestone but to shown whether meet specification
- portland cement
- type of cement (number and letter or just number)
- name and brand of manufacturer
- mass of the packages
- easy access for proper inspection and identification
- weather tight - sealed from rain and wind
- avoid dampness (wetness) and minimize warehouse set
As per contract order, manufacturer must furnish data test result of packages at the time of shipment to conform applicable requirements as per specification
